In Short: We offer a proprietary AI-powered assistant designed to help users access information about our products and services.
As part of our Services, we offer an AI-powered assistant ('AI Assistant') to help you find information about SWELECT's products, services, and support resources.
About Our AI Assistant
Our AI Assistant is a custom-built, proprietary tool developed and operated entirely by SWELECT Energy Systems Limited. It is not powered by, or dependent on, any third-party AI provider. Your data is not transmitted to or stored by any external AI platform or vendor.
The AI Assistant is designed for the following functions:
- Answering queries about our solar energy products and services
- Providing general support and guidance on our offerings
- Helping users navigate information available on our website
- Natural language understanding to improve query responses
- Surfacing relevant information based on your questions
How The AI Assistant Processes Your Data
The AI Assistant only reads information already available within our Services to generate responses. The AI Assistant does not perform profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users. It does not:
- Store your queries or conversation history in a separate database
- The AI Assistant does not perform profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users.
- Transmit your personal data to any third-party AI provider
- Use your interactions to train external AI models
- Make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you
Any personal information you share during an interaction with the AI Assistant (such as your name or contact details) is handled in line with this Privacy Notice and is subject to the same protections as all other personal data we collect.
6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). Retention periods may vary where required to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.
As a general guide, we retain different categories of personal information for the following periods:
- Customer and transactional records: Retained for a minimum of 8 years from the date of the last transaction, in accordance with applicable Indian tax and accounting laws (including the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the Companies Act, 2013).
- Marketing and enquiry data: Retained for up to 3 years from the date of your last interaction with us, or until you withdraw consent, whichever is earlier.
- Website usage and analytics data: Retained for up to 26 months, in line with standard analytics practices.
- Legal and compliance records: Retained for as long as required by applicable law or as necessary to defend or exercise our legal rights.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organisational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. These measures include, but are not limited to, encryption of data in transit, access controls, regular security assessments, and staff training on data protection.
However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, while we implement industry-standard safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. Rights Under The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India)
As an Indian company, SWELECT Energy Systems Limited is subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ('DPDP Act'). If you are a Data Principal (i.e., an individual whose personal data is being processed), you have the following rights under the DPDP Act:
- Right to access information: You have the right to obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and the processing activities undertaken with respect to such data.
- Right to correction and erasure: You have the right to correct inaccurate or misleading personal data and to request erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Right to grievance redressal: You have the right to have your grievances redressed by our Grievance Officer in accordance with the provisions of the DPDP Act. Details of our Grievance Officer are provided in Section 12 of this Notice.
- Right to nominate: You have the right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised.
As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
